- Is it FREE to search for greetings on the system?
- Definitely! At The Birthday Site we let visitors search through all "live" greetings on our system for FREE! That way you can look for greetings left for friends and family, or even a namesake - if the eCard is available to view at the time of searching, then you can see it!
- That's great! But can I view ALL the greetings on the site?
- Yes! You can view all active greetings on the site by clicking the relevant button on the left-hand side of every page. Why not browse through greetings that our users have placed, or look for celebrities' birthdays? You never know what you might find!
- Why do I need to register to place greetings?
- When we were setting up The Birthday Site, we thought about making it registration-free, but we felt that we needed to give users more control over their greetings. The best solution to this was to set up a membership scheme such as the one we currently have in place. Advantages include the facts that registered users can set up repeat greetings (such as a yearly delivery of a birthday greeting), and create their own personalised "address books" of people they want to send them to. Why not register today, and get started sending greetings!
- Is registration with The Birthday Site free?
- Absolutely! We won't charge you anything to register.
- OK, I understand I need to register, but what do you do with my personal details?
- At The Birthday Site, we are committed to maintaining your privacy - we never store any of your payment details online (these are only used at the time of checkout, and not kept on our systems), and we will absolutely never pass on your details to any third parties without your consent. - Why am I paying to send greetings?
- We know there are a lot of free eCards sites out there, but we really feel that our system is better than the rest. On The Birthday Site you can be sure of getting the following value-added services: many professionally-designed greetings templates to choose from, the ability to search greetings on the system for FREE and much much more. What's more is that you'll never find any Spyware, Adware or annoying pop-up windows on our site - leaving you free to send your greetings in peace and safety!
- That's great! But why should I use The Birthday Site?
- Sending eCards from The Birthday Site is incredibly convenient for both you and the recipients of your greetings. Using our site is also friendly to the environment - as our eCards are electronically created and delivered, there's no mess or waste to deal with, so you can do your bit for the planet while making someone else smile! It's also less expensive for you to send a greeting from our site compared to the paper-based equivalent once you've factored in the cost of a card (or cards) and postage. Don't forget that all of our greetings can be customised by you and sent anywhere in the world in an instant!
- When can I send a greeting?
- Any time you want! You could set up a greeting to be delivered on the same day if you liked, but better still, you can even set them up months or years in advance of the event you want to celebrate and the rest will be taken care of for you.
- Who can view the greetings I create?
- You can specify up to 10 recipients for any greeting when you set it up here on The Birthday Site. By default, the greeting will be available for viewing on its own dedicated page 7 days before and after the date you specify. The recipients will be notified in advance of this time by email, and you can also elect to notify some or all of them by text messages (SMS) sent to mobile telephone numbers of your choice - please note there is an extra charge for the SMS service. Don't forget that all our greetings are searchable for FREE too! So you can look for messages sent to your loved ones, friends, or even a namesake worldwide!
- How do I pay for my greetings?
- You can use any major credit or debit card to pay for greetings sent via The Birthday Site - Just login, create a greeting, and then click "checkout" from your shopping basket to be taken to our secure payment system.
